Physiotherapy

Treatments February 18, 2026

I finished a four-year Physiotherapy degree in 2001 and have been treating people ever since. Physiotherapy is the way I work out what is going on in your body and what is driving it, then do something about it — with hands-on techniques, movement and exercise, and practical education you can keep using at home. The aim is simple: to help you move more comfortably, do more of what matters to you, and feel better after illness, disease or injury.

What a session covers

Assessment and diagnosis come first. I look at how you move, where strength and posture have shifted, and how your pain behaves, so I can name what is actually happening rather than just where it hurts. Then comes treatment and rehabilitation, which may mean hands-on therapy, a graded exercise programme, education, or tools such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation and heat or cold. The part people most often skip is prevention, and it matters — we look at posture, strength and movement patterns so a problem is less likely to return or get worse.

Who I see

Muscle, joint and bone problems are the most common: sprains, arthritis and back pain among them. I also see people living with neurological conditions such as stroke, multiple sclerosis and Parkinson's disease, and with cardiopulmonary issues including COPD and recovery following heart surgery. Children with developmental delays and older adults dealing with age-related changes are both welcome here, and every session is adapted to the person in front of me.
