You do not have to be nearby to work with me. The kinesiology and mind-body medicine I practise comes across a screen or a phone line just as effectively as it does in the room, so wherever you are, please reach out. Distance is not something to put your health on hold for.
What an online session looks like
1. First consultation
We meet on Zoom, Skype or whichever video platform suits you. I ask what has brought you here, whether that is stress, pain, fatigue, emotional strain or a mixture, and we set some intentions for the session between us.
2. Muscle testing, adapted
Muscle testing by hand is not possible over a screen, so I work around it. Depending on what suits you, I might:
- Use surrogate testing, testing against myself while staying tuned in to what your body is showing.
- Teach you simple self-testing movements, if you are willing and able to learn them.
- Lean on careful questioning and biofeedback, reading the cues that do carry across a call, such as your breathing, posture and tone of voice.
3. Corrections and balancing
Once we have a picture of what is out of balance, I guide you through the corrections that fit it. That can include:
- Breathing work
- Visualisation
- Techniques for releasing held emotion
- Acupressure points
- Suggestions for nutrition and daily habits
4. Integration and follow-up
We finish by settling on what you will do between sessions: a short daily practice, perhaps a supplement or two to try, or an agreement to check in again in a few weeks. Depending on the session, you may also receive a written summary afterwards to refer back to.
